Leelo is from Estonia but has spent half of her life living everywhere else instead. Eight years ago her music career took off in Berlin, where she played local clubs and busked throughout the city. This was followed by tours across Europe and collaborations with brands like Shure, Stagg, and Melt.
When corona came knocking, she dropped her music to reshape her whole life. But there is no Leelo without the music, this became pretty clear. So she returns with an album that feels like the most honest reflection of herself so far.
Her music resonates with listeners in their mid-twenties and beyond. Perhaps people who crave substance but don't want to work too hard for it. The melodies and structures are immediately approachable, almost familiar, but reveal new layers with every listen. The album was co-produced with her band, who all have production backgrounds and are successful musicians in their own right. The result?
